Scope and topics:
The atomic-scale growth techniques of oxide heterostructures provide a possibility for revealing the intrinsic structure and functional properties. Meanwhile, the development of characterization techniques enables the discovery of novel crystal structures and functionalities. This symposium aims to bring together scientific experts and young scientists with an interest in ferroelectric and multiferroic thin films, which includes but not limited to the following topics:
Growth of ferroelectric thin films by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Magnetron sputtering, etc.
Characterization of ferroelectric thin films by Piezoresponse Force Microscopy (PFM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Second Harmonic Generation (SHG), (X-ray diffraction) XRD, etc.
